There is a yoga practice for every lifestyle
Your breath plays a vital roll in your mental and physical health. They are interrelated, and should be conditioned together. All of the classes at Healthy Life Yoga attempt to coordinate breathing and physical movement, improve focus and concentration, and help participants regain control of their body and mind.
A Yin yoga class usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body - the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer.
These popular classes based on the belief that mental and physical health are interrelated, and should be conditioned together. All of the classes at Healthy Life Yoga attempt to coordinate breathing and physical movement, improve focus and concentration, and help participants regain control of their body and mind.
Are you interested in practicing yoga while pregnant? This class is just for you, and different from traditional yoga classes, which don't cater specifically to pregnant bodies. Not only will yoga reduce stress, aid your circulation, efforts to maintain a healthy weight , and balance moodiness/emotions, but also make for an easier birth!

Sound baths calm and regulate the nervous system of the body by utilizing different therapeutic frequencies. All that is required is to find comfort and listen. Sound Therapy can help to heal, not just the physical and emotional body, but the being inside as well.
One hour private sessions are available and can be booked when you are ready.
Yoga Nidra offers a space to explore what you need in the moment, and an opportunity to heal. Some people crave the profound relaxation that this practice instills, while other practitioners use the non-judgmental and secure atmosphere that Yoga Nidra provides as a window into themselves.
In this class you will learn Tai Chi, practiced through the lens of Yoga.
Known for its slow, intentional movements, Tai Chi offers you another form of gentle exercise and moving meditation, with benefits to mental and physical health, that help you regain control of your body, mind, and prana.

How We Got Here
Healthy Life Yoga was founded in 2003 in Midlothian Virginia, in order to foster a sense of mindfulness and peace in the surrounding community. Originally located in Richmond on Forest Hill, the studio was moved to Midlothian Turnpike (RT60).
We offer a variety of approaches to achieve and maintain your optimal health. Whether you are experiencing aches and pains or simply want to improve your physical and mental well-being, Healthy Life Yoga provides a supportive and friendly environment to do so. With smaller classes, so that you have the space to let your light shine.
